20 Best Eurocamp Resorts for a City Break in Europe (Family-Friendly)

I’ve been hunting for the 20 best Eurocamp resorts near cities – for a family-friendly city break in Europe that will give you the best of both worlds. You can travel into the city to explore (we love a city day trip) then head back to the park to enjoy all of the facilities. I’ve found great Eurocamp sites near cities like: Paris, Barcelona, Luxembourg City, Rome, Florence, Verona, Amsterdam, Split, Venice, Bern, Trier, Salzburg and Zadar.

We’ve visited most of these cities so check out my itineraries too. Planning a city break that combines sightseeing with family and budget-friendly accommodation can be a challenge but that’s where Eurocamp comes in! Whether you fancy soaking in the history of Rome, strolling through the streets of Paris, or exploring the canals of Venice, these campsites offer the perfect base for your family adventures. Here are my top picks for the 20 best Eurocamp resorts for a family-friendly city break in Europe:

How do I travel from the UK to my Eurocamp holiday?

For ferry and channel crossings to/from Calais: Eurocamp have access to discounted slots which are usually significantly cheaper than booking directly. The prices fluctuate slightly but a return on the ferry from Dover to Calais is typically around £100 and the ‘Le Shuttle’ Channel Crossing was around £250 the last time we used it.

photo of mother and son on waterslide

Other ferry routes: If you’re looking for affordable ferry options to/from a different location then the Direct Ferries website is the best place to look. It’s a comparison website so you can easily compare prices and providers, see which route options are available and view any current deals.

For Eurocamp holidays with flights: Eurocamp offer some package holiday deals through Jet2holidays which include flights and car hire (click to check out). Not all resorts and destinations are available so many families book flights separately – use the Skyscanner website to hunt out the cheapest flights. You can sort car hire easily on websites like Expedia, or book your transfers to and from the airport through Suntransfers.
