Duinrell: Eurocamp vs Booking Direct

Duinrell Holiday Park stays – booking with Eurocamp vs booking direct – which is better? If you’re planning a family holiday to Duinrell in the Netherlands, one of the first things you’ll probably notice is that there are a few different ways to book your stay. Two of the main options are booking a Eurocamp holiday home or booking accommodation directly with Duinrell.

We’ve tried both! On our first visit to Duinrell we stayed with Eurocamp, which was the cheapest option for our dates. We loved the resort so much that we decided to return but for our second visit we booked directly with Duinrell. There wasn’t much difference between the two prices but the direct booking included two free visits to the Tiki Pool waterpark. Once we took that into account, booking direct offered us better value this time.

So, should you book Duinrell with Eurocamp or directly? Here’s how the two compare and what I’d recommend checking before you book.

Duinrell Eurocamp vs Direct

Whichever way you book, you’re staying within the same Duinrell resort and you can enjoy its biggest attraction – the theme park! Both Eurocamp and direct Duinrell stays include unlimited access to the attractions at the amusement park during your stay. The main differences are the accommodation options, how the Tiki Pool access works, date flexibility and, of course, the price.

Staying at Duinrell with Eurocamp

We booked our first Duinrell holiday through Eurocamp and had a brilliant stay. We chose Eurocamp because we wanted date flexibility (you aren’t confined to set arrival days like you are when you book direct) and it was the cheapest option for our dates. There’s also something quite reassuring about knowing roughly what to expect from the Eurocamp holiday homes and having a UK Live Chat service for any questions.

Although your accommodation belongs to Eurocamp, you’re still staying right inside the Duinrell resort and have access to all of the facilities. What is the Duinrell Theme Park like?

Having a theme park right inside your holiday resort is one of the things that makes Duinrell such a unique holiday. There’s a good mix of attractions for the whole family, including gentler rides for younger children as well as some much bigger rides and rollercoasters for older kids and teenagers. Rather than having to plan a full theme park day, you can pop in for a few rides whenever you fancy it – we loved it being just a short walk from our holiday home. You might spend a couple of hours there in the morning, head back to your accommodation for lunch and then return later in the day. It makes the whole experience feel much more relaxed. And, when theme park tickets for a family can easily add a big chunk to the cost of a holiday, having unlimited access included is a huge bonus.

Is the Tiki Pool included at Duinrell?

This is where the difference between booking directly or booking with Eurocamp becomes a little more important. The Tiki Pool is Duinrell’s huge waterpark and one of the highlights of staying at the resort. It has loads of big waterslides, a couple of pools and areas for younger children, as well as an outdoor pool complex which opens over the warmer months. If you stay at Duinrell with Eurocamp, visits to the Tiki Pool aren’t included in the same way as the amusement park. However, Eurocamp guests can visit at a discounted rate, so you don’t have to pay the standard admission price.

When you book directly through Duinrell, your stay includes a certain number of free Tiki Pool visits depending on the accommodation chosen and the length of your holiday. For our 4 night direct stay, two Tiki Pool visits were included. This was one of the biggest reasons we decided to book directly this time. There wasn’t much difference between the accommodation prices for our dates but having two waterpark slots included saved us around €100 based on our family of four! 👉 Frugal Mum Tip: Before booking, work out roughly how many times you think you’ll visit the Tiki Pool and factor this into your comparison. If the accommodation prices are similar, included waterpark visits could make booking directly better value.

Booking a direct Duinrell stay

We had a fantastic second visit to Duinrell and it gave us the chance to try Duinrell’s own accommodation to see how it compared to our previous stay. We booked the O’hara Comfort Level Holiday Home – the layout was very similar to the Ultimate Eurocamp style holiday homes. If you want to stay at Duinrell over the winter months you’ll definitely need to book your accommodation directly through them as the Eurocamp stays are seasonal. This might be the deciding factor for families looking for an out-of-season holiday – though there may be some ride restrictions etc so make sure you check what’s available.

Duinrell Accommodation: Eurocamp vs Direct

One of the biggest differences between booking with Eurocamp and booking directly with Duinrell is the choice of accommodation. With Eurocamp, you’ll stay in one of their mobile homes within the Duinrell resort, with a choice of different sizes and grades. We found our Eurocamp premium accommodation perfect for what we needed but booking directly gives you quite a few more accommodation options.

If you have a bigger budget, or fancy a little bit of luxury, take a look at the Premium Plus Duingalows. Some Duingalows sleep up to eight people so they’re also worth looking at if you’re a larger family or like to travel with family/friends – splitting the cost can be a great way to save money! Duinrell also has camping and glamping options. You can bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome – camping guests still get unlimited access to the amusement park, with discounted entry to the Tiki Pool.

For something a little more comfortable, there are also glamping lodge tents, ranging from smaller options right up to a 12 person Family Lodge. These are a great middle ground if you like the idea of camping but don’t fancy sleeping in a basic tent as they include a kitchen, a shower and a toilet. Glamping stays also include unlimited amusement park access and some Tiki Pool visits, making them another option worth pricing up against a mobile home or Duingalow.

👉 Frugal Mum Tip: Don’t automatically compare a Eurocamp holiday home with the first Duinrell accommodation you see. There can be quite a difference between the accommodation types and prices so have a good at all your options before you book your stay.

Which is the cheapest way to book?

This is probably the question most people want answered, but our two trips show perfectly why there isn’t one straightforward answer. For our first visit to Duinrell, Eurocamp was the cheapest option but for our second trip the prices were much closer. Once we factored in the two Tiki Pool visits included with our direct booking, staying directly with Duinrell offered us better value for money. Our particular holiday cost around £600 for a Monday-Friday 4 night stay. (End of August / going into September 2026.)

Check both websites and compare exactly the same dates before making a decision. Prices and offers change throughout the year, and Eurocamp regularly has deals which can make its holiday homes really good value.

Duinrell Eurocamp vs Direct – which is better?

Based on our visits, I wouldn’t automatically choose one over the other. If Eurocamp is considerably cheaper for your dates, I’d happily book with them. We had a brilliant first stay at Duinrell with Eurocamp and being a Eurocamp guest doesn’t stop you enjoying the main reason you’re probably visiting – the amusement park. You still get unlimited access to the attractions and you can buy discounted visits to the Tiki Pool.

However, if the prices are fairly similar, I’d take a closer look at what’s included when booking directly. Compare the accommodation, total holiday price and Tiki Pool access rather than assuming Eurocamp or booking direct will automatically be cheaper. You’ll also want to take into account whether you need booking flexibility (or if you want to stay a random number of days) as Duingalow bookings have set arrival days. And, you’ll have to factor in whether you want an out-of-season visit – as Eurocamp don’t offer this. Make sure you compare all of your options before booking:
