To save on days out with the kids all over the UK, have a look at the discounts and deals below that you can take advantage of all year round – these don’t just run over October half-term! Here are some ways to save money on popular attractions when you’re out and about with the kids:
- lovetovisit.co.uk: The ‘Love to Visit’ website offers discounted tickets for family-friendly days out with the kids all over the UK – so it’s worth checking their current prices for your favourite attractions before you book.
- Tesco Clubcard points: Lots of popular attractions are part of the Tesco reward scheme so save your points and you could visit for free! You can use them for tasty meals out too – we often save ours to take the kids out for dinner in the school holidays.

- National Rail 2-for-1 offers: If you’re travelling by train you can get 1/3 off or 2 for 1 tickets on loads of attractions when booked through the National Rail 2 for 1 scheme.
- Kids Pass: You can sign up to a Kid’s Pass trial for just £1 to access discounts on days out and eating out all over the UK.

Other ways to have fun on a budget over October half-term…
As well as the big days out, don’t forget to have fun picking pumpkins, trick-or-treating and making the most of what’s on your doorstep. Look for free or low-cost Halloween events in your community, such as: village hall parties, school events, free Autumn firework displays, pumpkin festivals, country-park activities and spooky scarecrow trails for the kids to complete. (My two used to love the trails!) Check with your local library for Halloween-themed activities, such as storytelling sessions or craft workshops as well. There are often plenty of budget-friendly days out to enjoy too!

When it comes to the big attractions – be sure to book in advance where required and check the terms and conditions of each offer to make the most of these fantastic deals. And, whatever you get up to with the kids this October half-term, I hope you have a fabulous time with the kids! 😊
