I’ve been looking for the best Eurocamp resorts in the South of France for family holidays in the sunshine. As well as hunting out beach locations, waterslides, swimming pools, kids’ activities and cool days out, I’ve added in a couple of quieter sites (or rural locations) too for those that prefer a more peaceful getaway. (Hopefully there’s something for everyone here!) So, in no particular order, here are 20 of the best Eurocamp holidays in the South of France with fantastic family-friendly facilities (with links to my reviews for those we’ve been to ourselves!) – happy holiday hunting!
1. Eurocamp: La Sirène, Argelès-sur-Mer
5 star campsite, La Sirène had to make it onto my list for one of the best Eurocamp spots in the South of France because the huge pool complex is already fabulous and they’re adding even more waterslides, kids’ obstacle courses and a new pool for 2026! It offers everything from splash zones for little ones, to big flumes for the older kids! We had a brilliant time – check out my La Sirène Review – the entertainment was amazing. There are also loads of activities on offer including mini golf, playgrounds, sports, kids’ clubs and all sorts. Argelès Adventure is nearby, as well as Aqualand Saint Cyprien, Argelès Canoying Park and the beach too. The nearest airport to La Sirène is Perpignan Airport – 30 minutes away – or drive from Calais in 11.5 hours. How do I travel from the UK to my Eurocamp holiday in the South of France?
For ferry and channel crossings to/from Calais – Eurocamp have access to discounted slots which are usually significantly cheaper than booking directly. The prices fluctuate slightly, but a return on the ferry from Dover to Calais is typically £100 (it was £112 for an example holiday on 8-15th Aug and ours was £95 in September) and the Le Shuttle Channel Crossing is around £250 (it was £254 for 8-15th Aug and a similar price for us in June). These costs were based on August dates – the price doesn’t really seem to change during peak school holiday times which is awesome!

Other routes: I’m not certain how many different ferry routes Eurocamp offer, but if you are looking for affordable options to/from a different location then the Direct Ferries website is the best place to look. It’s a comparison website for ferry travel so you can easily see all of the prices from different companies, which route options are available and any current offers running. If it’s not included then Direct Ferries is definitely the next best place to look for cheap ferry options.
For Eurocamp holidays with flights – Eurocamp offer only a few package holiday deals through Jet2holidays (click to check out) so you’ll most likely need to book the flights yourself if you’d prefer not to drive. When it comes to the budget airlines, I think the best options are Jet2 and EasyJet – and for price comparison the Skyscanner website can be a great place to start. You can sort car hire easily on websites like Expedia, or book your transfers to and from the airport on the Suntransfers website before you go to make your trip stress free.
Is the South of France a good place to visit with kids?
Absolutely! The South of France is a brilliant destination for family holidays – here’s why it ticks all the boxes (without blowing the budget):
🏖️ Beaches galore for free days out: From the golden sands of Cannes to the calm, shallow waters of Île de Porquerolles, the coastline is packed with family-friendly beaches. Many are gently sloping, ideal for younger swimmers, and you can easily pack a picnic (local boulangeries sell amazing sandwiches and pastries!) to avoid pricey seafront cafés. It’s perfect for budget-friendly family days out in the sun!
🏕️ Amazing family holiday parks: There are an insane amount of Eurocamp holidays in France, and loads of the best sites are down in the South with some of the best waterparks on offer, gorgeous beachside locations and tons for the kids to do. It’s family holiday heaven! Particularly slightly out of season, you can get some amazingly cheap deals too.

🍦 Ice cream, crêpes and pastries… everywhere: We all know one of the best parts of any family holiday is the food – and here it’s blissfully child-friendly. You’ll find artisan ice cream stalls on most corners, bakeries in every town and crêperies where you can grab a Nutella crêpe for just a couple of euros.
🚂 Trains, boats & mini adventures: Public transport in the region is reliable and inexpensive, with scenic trains linking towns like Nice, Antibes and Monaco. Ferries from the mainland to little islands like Îles de Lérins are an easy day out — a boat ride always gets a thumbs-up from the little ones! Port Grimaud is a brilliant place to visit too – the ‘little Venice’ of the South of France with its canals – and you can take a boat to St Tropez from there as well.

🏰 History without the yawn factor: Kids love a good castle – and the South of France has loads! Try Carcassonne, a real-life fairytale walled city – entrance fees are reasonable and under 18s go free. If you’re exploring by car, medieval villages like Èze and Les Baux-de-Provence are also worth a wander.
☀️ Sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine: The weather is gorgeous in the South of France over the summer months, so it’s the perfect family road trip destination. Driving, rather than flying, can be a great way to save money at peak times too, and the motorways in France are easy to navigate. It’s a long drive, but it’s so worth it for sunshine, sea and relaxation.
