Holiday: June 2026
Yelloh Village Le Mané Guernehué Review

In June 2026, we took a little French road trip using Eurocamp campsites to hop between Northern and Southern Brittany. We split our time between Le Mané Guernehué in Southern Brittany and Domaine des Ormes in the North near Mont Saint-Michel. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Mané Guernehué – it’s a fantastic campsite that caters well to kids (and adults!) of all ages and we’d definitely stay there again. Here’s my review and everything that you need to know about staying with Eurocamp at Le Mané Guernehué in Brittany, France.
What was Le Mané Guernehué like?

Le Mané Guernehué is a fantastic holiday park and a brilliant option if you’re on the hunt for a waterpark holiday – the kids have given this one ‘top 3 status’ for waterslides (and we’ve been on 22 Eurocamp holidays!). The communal areas, the restaurant, the shop and the pool area were right at the front of the site grouped together. This made it really easy to access everything, and meant that the accommodation area was really quiet and peaceful. This site caters well for kids of all ages – with things like high ropes (€13), mini golf, horse riding and big waterslides to keep older kids and teens busy, and some fabulous play spaces for the younger ones.

As well as a playground, the resort had a free play zone with bouncy castles and soft play – perfect for when it cooled down in the evenings. The staff also ran activities in the pool and sports, plus kids’ clubs run over the peak summer months and you could book things like pony rides. The evening entertainment included things like discos, quizzes and foam parties – though I have to admit we didn’t attend any of it. We visited during a heat wave with temperatures as high as 42 degrees! With it being so hot, we spent our evenings either exploring locally or going for a walk if it had cooled down enough – the site has a fishing lake, places to wander and a few animals. On nights the hottest nights, we opted to play games inside and watch the World Cup to make the most of the air con!

We didn’t try the food in the restaurant at Le Mané Guernehué, it didn’t have air-conditioning so we ate back at our holiday home instead. However, we did buy lots of ice-cream from the counter inside 😂 the banana was soooo good! There are seating areas near the pool, with super comfy chairs, so it was a nice place to relax. The shop was absolutely fine for the odd bits and pieces, or a baguette for lunch (€1.30), but we did our main food shop at a Carrefour nearby as it was cheaper and offered more choice. It was around a 5 minute drive and meant we could stock up for the week. I typically cook most days to keep costs down and we grabbed some rotisserie chickens to make things easy!

What were the swimming pools like?

The waterpark at Le Mané Guernehué really stole the show for us – we love a waterslide on a Eurocamp holiday so I’m going to do a bit of a photo dump in this part of my review. The resort had several swimming pools, including an indoor pool with a jacuzzi and a toddler area – perfect for all weathers. Outside, you could choose from a couple of swimming pools or the lazy river – which we loved – inflatables were allowed so we could just float around to keep cool. The water was a really nice temperature, which is something I rarely say!

The dinghy slide in particular was absolutely brilliant, and the waterslides were fabulous for older kids with lots of big flumes on offer. For younger kids, there was a splash zone, a smaller slide with a play area and a toddler pool alongside the main swimming pool. This resort is a fabulous option if you have kids of mixed ages as there’s something for everyone.

There were lots of comfy sun beds dotted around (free and some with umbrellas), and you’ll be thrilled to know that speedo shorts weren’t required for the males here! (My son and husband were delighted! 😂) Honestly, I can’t think of anywhere else I would have rather been during a heat wave – we spent the whole trip alternating between the fabulous pool or our air-conditioned holiday home and were so pleased not to be sweating it out at home! Just be aware that the pool complex isn’t properly supervised by lifeguards so don’t leave your children unattended.

Local Area: What is there to do near Le Mané Guernehué?
The Gulf of Morbihan

Le Mané Guernehué is located near The Gulf of Morbihan – one of Brittany’s most beautiful coastal regions. Families can take boat trips, visit islands, enjoy watersports or simply relax by the water. You can visit Île-aux-Moines, a nearby island, without a pricey excursion. The ferry from nearby Baden (via Izenah Croisières) runs every 30 minutes and costs just a few euros per person with children under 4 free. I was so excited for an island visit but we didn’t make it there due to the heat wave – so do let me know what you think if you make the trip.
Moulin Neuf Aventure
If your children love outdoor activities, Moulin Neuf Aventure is a fantastic family day out. Set around a large lake, the attraction offers tree-top adventure courses, zip lines, paddleboarding, kayaking and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy. Located around 45 minutes from Le Mané Guernehué, it’s one of the best things to do in Brittany with older kids and the activities are affordable.
Branféré Animal and Botanical Park

Branféré Zoo combines a wildlife park, botanical gardens and a huge netted adventure area known as the Parcabout. It’s around a 45 minute drive from Le Mané Guernehué. Families can spot giraffes, zebras, red pandas and many other animals before letting the kids burn off some energy climbing, bouncing and exploring among the trees. It’s a fantastic day out if you’re looking for something a little different from a traditional zoo.
Kingoland
Kingoland is a family-friendly theme park located around 45 minutes from Le Mané Guernehué. The park offers a good mix of rollercoasters, water rides and attractions for younger children without the huge crowds often found at larger theme parks. It’s particularly well suited to families with primary-school-aged children.
Local towns

There are lots of pretty towns to visit nearby – perfect for an evening wander or a meal with a view. Auray, around a 15 minute drive from the resort, is really quaint. You can also hire bikes cheaply at Le Mané Guernehué – €8 for 5 hours / €12 for a day (adult bikes) if you want to explore the surrounding area without hopping in the car. Plus, there’s a free shuttle bus that runs from the resort over the summer months – it serves the beach, the town of Lamor-Baden and Port Blanc, and the pier for Ile aux Moines.

Was the accommodation good?

We’ve stayed in several Eurocamp Ultimate holiday homes and they’ve all been pretty much identical – so the photos here are likely a good example of what you can expect if you book this range. It isn’t quite as special as the Ultimate Plus (they’re newer and have lots of extras) but it does offer some good perks and the space is brilliant. In the kitchen area we had a fridge-freezer, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine and a kettle. There was also air-conditioning and a comfortable seating area which doubled as a sofa bed. The TV only had French channels but you can plug in things like a Roku or a laptop to watch Netflix etc.

As it was Eurocamp’s Ultimate range we got towels and bed linen included, and the beds were pre-made too which makes life a bit easier. Our accommodation had three bedrooms – we had plenty of space in the main bedroom which had a big wardrobe, a large bed and a dressing table area. The Ultimate ranges are perfect if you want a bit more space and they offer so much more storage too. My son had the twin room with two singles and my daughter was in the bunk bed room. The large decking was great with plenty of space to eat and relax outside.

Our particular accommodation was located right next to the lake at the bottom of the site which was perfect. It was super quiet and really pretty – fabulous for evening walks along the water’s edge to see the goats. The beds were really comfy and the windows had bug screens, blackout blinds and curtains so we slept well. I always ask for ‘a quiet spot’ in the comments area when I book our holidays and so far it seems to have worked really well – I love my sleep too much! The only issue you might have is that the accommodation at Le Mané Guernehué is staggered along a hill – so that’s something to think about if you have any mobility issues.

Just as a side note, if you’re looking at other Eurocamp accommodation types for your trip, (even though cleaning is included in all other countries) in France you can only get the cleaning service included if you book a Premium Exclusive holiday home or something from their Ultimate range. If you book from their other ranges you can pay extra to add the end of stay cleaning on, or tackle it yourself if you want to. For more info on holiday home options, check out my Eurocamp Accommodation Guide.
What facilities are on site at Le Mané Guernehué?

- The shop on-site had bits and bobs but for a full shop I’d recommend going off-site – it was only a 5 minute drive to Baden and you can hop on the free shuttle bus over the summer months too.
- We were able to park directly in front of the holiday home that we stayed in, making it easy to load and unload the car of luggage and food shopping.
- Most Eurocamp accommodation doesn’t come with a TV – it’s only included with their higher ranges – so it’s handy to take a tablet or laptop with you with some movies for when you want a quiet evening if it’s not included with your holiday home.

- The restaurant overlooked the pool and served things like pasta, pizza, fish & chips and burgers (€10-€15 per adult meal).
- You could order takeaway meals on-site too – it was popular and pretty affordable if you fancy a night off from cooking – here’s the menu with prices from our 2026 stay…

- All of the staff that we met on our trip were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English.
- The site is cashless so you can either use a credit/debit card or use your wristband to pay for any extras you want on site. They can be topped up and have a chip in them if you don’t want to carry your card around with you.
- The resort had free WiFi and, despite our holiday home being right at the bottom of the resort, it worked perfectly.

The prices fluctuate but a return on the ferry from Dover to Calais is typically around £100 and the Le Shuttle Channel Crossing is around £250. Our toll costs came to around €30 each way.

How much does a Eurocamp holiday at Le Mané Guernehué cost – was it good value for money?
Hopefully my review has been helpful – our 5 night stay at Le Mané Guernehué in Brittany, France, in a Eurocamp Ultimate holiday home cost around £80 per night. This site is definitely the best option for a waterpark holiday in Brittany – the waterslides are fab – and it’s a brilliant spot for a family getaway. Well-located near the ports, the resort is perfect for a summer break in Northern France without the long road trip down South. It’s a well maintained site with a lovely relaxed feel, cheerful staff and plenty to keep the kids busy. We really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Le Mané Guernehué on the Eurocamp website.

As we home-educate the kids, we are fortunate to be able travel term-time which is a great money saver, but if you’re restricted to school holiday dates then look for May half-term getaways – they’re always so much cheaper than the summer holidays! Having said that, affordable school summer holiday travel is possible – I went hunting on the Eurocamp website and found 50 family holidays under £1k for August 2026 – with prices starting from less than £300!
