There are some incredible holiday parks in Italy – so I’ve put together a list of my top picks for the best Eurocamp holidays in Lake Garda for families. We find Eurocamp such a fantastic way to explore Europe with the kids because they offer lots of budget-friendly places to stay to make family travel affordable, and we had one of our best holidays with the kids in Lake Garda. Lake Garda is such a beautiful place to visit with so much to do, and it’s an easy place to get around if you’re looking for a stress-free Eurocamp holiday without a car. You can explore on foot, hop on the bus or catch a train further afield to have loads of fun adventures! So, if you’re after some sunshine in Northern Italy, here are my top 5 picks for the best Eurocamp holiday parks in Lake Garda for families:
1. Eurocamp: Cisano San Vito
Lake Garda is one of the best spots in Italy for a family holiday – for our visit we stayed with Eurocamp at Cisano San Vito and had such a fabulous time – check out my Camping Cisano San Vito Review for all the details. Located between the lovely towns of Bardolino and Lazise, it’s great for active families – with swimming pools and waterslides (Finn and Lola thought they were great!) and direct access to Lake Garda. We loved having the lake on our doorstep for evening walks, and we had some brilliant days out in Verona and Venice too – you can drive there or hop on the train. Plus, it’s just a 20 minute bus ride to the Gardaland and Movieland theme parks. The nearest airport to Cisano San Vito is Verona Airport – 25 minutes away. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Cisano San Vito on the Eurocamp website.
2. Eurocamp: Bella Italia
Bella Italia is one of the most popular Eurocamp holiday parks at Lake Garda, and it’s just a short bus ride from the Gardaland and Movieland Studios theme parks if you fancy a bit of thrill-seeking! This lively park has something for kids of all ages with multiple swimming pools as well as a beautiful private lakeside beach. The kids will love the splash zones and waterslides, while the shallow pools are perfect for little ones. For older children, there are sports facilities including football, table tennis and bike hire. If you love a city visit, you can also take day trips to both Verona and Venice – the train station is just a 10 minute walk away – and there’s loads to do locally too. The nearest airport to Bella Italia is Verona Airport – a 25 minute transfer. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Bella Italia on the Eurocamp website.
3. Eurocamp: hu Altomincio Village
hu Altomincio Village is another one of the best options for a Eurocamp family holiday by Lake Garda. The park features a fantastic pool complex with waterslides and splash areas – perfect for all-day fun. The park’s activities include mini-golf, bike hire, a tree-top adventure course and kids’ clubs, while the surrounding countryside offers opportunities for walking and cycling. It’s just a ten minute drive to the lake so you can make the most of what Lake Garda has to offer, as well as sightseeing in Verona and Venice too. It’s also just a 10 minute drive from Gardaland, and 20 minutes from Movieland Studios – perfect! The nearest airport to hu Altomincio Village is Verona Airport – approx 25 minute drive. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out hu Altomincio Village on the Eurocamp website.
4. Eurocamp: Del Garda Village and Camping
Del Garda Village and Camping Eurocamp is just a 25 minute walk from Gardaland, and you can hop on a bus to visit Caneva Waterpark and Movieland Studios too – there are some great days out near this one! The site comes highly rated on TripAdvisor – it’s a great choice for families looking for both fun and relaxation – with four swimming pools and waterslides. There are play areas, sports facilities and kids’ clubs, and its location is ideal for exploring Lake Garda. You can easily get around on foot, or via public transport, plus Verona and Venice are a train-ride away if you fancy some sightseeing. The nearest airport to Del Garda Village and Camping is Verona Airport – a 20 minute transfer. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Del Garda Village on the Eurocamp website.
5. Eurocamp: Camping Village Butterfly
For families looking for a quieter holiday park, Camping Village Butterfly in Peschiera del Garda is perfect. This smaller site has a relaxed atmosphere, making it ideal for families with younger children. It has a lovely swimming pool with a shallow area for little ones, a playground, sports and organised family activities. It’s just a short walk to Lake Garda – with a small lakeside beach just 50m away – and it’s just a 15 minute walk to the train station. From there you can be sightseeing in Verona in about 20 minutes! (I love Verona so much!) You can also walk from the holiday park to Gardaland in just 20 minutes for a family day out. The nearest airport to Camping Village Butterfly is Verona Airport which is around a 20 minute transfer. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Camping Village Butterfly on the Eurocamp website.
When is the best time to visit Lake Garda?
The Eurocamp holiday parks in Italy really lend themselves to swimming pool fun for the kids – so I think that the best time for families to visit Lake Garda is definitely over the summer months or shoulder seasons. We visited in September, and enjoyed lovely warm weather and less crowds than the summer months bring. We adored our stay in Lake Garda with the kids – there’s so much to do – so plan your trip between May and September and hopefully you can enjoy lots of sunshine and gelato! Just make sure you pack some swimming caps – as lots of holiday parks in Italy require these to be worn when you’re using the pools.

How do I travel from the UK to my Eurocamp holiday in Italy?
For ferry and channel crossings to/from Calais – Eurocamp have access to discounted slots which are usually significantly cheaper than booking directly. The prices fluctuate slightly, but a return on the ferry from Dover to Calais is typically £100 (it was £112 for an example holiday on 8-15th Aug and ours was £95 in September) and the Le Shuttle Channel Crossing is around £250 (it was £254 for 8-15th Aug and a similar price for us in June). These costs were based on August dates – the price doesn’t really seem to change during peak school holiday times which is awesome!

Other routes: I’m not certain how many different ferry routes Eurocamp offer, but if you are looking for affordable options to/from a different location then the Direct Ferries website is the best place to look. It’s a comparison website for ferry travel so you can easily see all of the prices from different companies, which route options are available and any current offers running. If it’s not included then Direct Ferries is definitely the next best place to look for cheap ferry options.
For Eurocamp holidays with flights – You can’t book your flights through Eurocamp as a package deal, so you’ll need to book the flights yourself if you’d prefer not to drive. When it comes to the budget airlines, I think the best options are Jet2 and EasyJet – and for price comparison the Skyscanner website can be a great place to start. You can sort car hire easily on websites like Expedia, or book your transfers to and from the airport on the Suntransfers website before you go to make your trip stress free.
