Which Haven Holiday Parks Offer Festive Christmas Breaks?

If you’re dreaming of a festive UK getaway that’s packed with twinkling lights, fun and a sprinkle of magic, then a Haven Christmas break at one of their family-friendly holiday parks might be the perfect treat. Most Haven holiday parks close for the winter, typically from November to March, but 9 of their parks transform for festive holidays where the little ones can meet Santa, parents can relax into the holiday spirit and everyone can make memories to last a lifetime over the Christmas season.

These Haven Christmas breaks feature a range of seasonal activities designed to create a magical holiday atmosphere. Which Haven holiday parks offer festive Christmas breaks?

The Haven Christmas experience is available at nine of their parks – Seashore, Cala Gran, Seton Sands, Hafan y Môr, Rockley Park, Devon Cliffs, Craig Tara, Kent Coast and Primrose Valley. Prices start from around £100 for a four night mid-week stay and it’s a wonderful way to add a bit of sparkle to the festive season without overspending. There are plenty of Christmas craft activities available at the parks over the festive season, as well as chances for a boogie and other activities, and of course you’ll have all the usual facilities like the swimming pools and soft play to keep the kids busy too.

1. Haven Seashore, Great Yarmouth

Situated on the beachfront in Great Yarmouth, Haven Seashore comes highly recommended as one of the best Haven holiday parks – so you’ll be pleased to know that it’s open for Christmas! This one offers an indoor waterpark with flumes, slides and a splash-zone, soft play, junior segways, crazy golf, crafts, evening entertainment and all sorts! If you fancy some days out, the nearby Norfolk Broads provide opportunities for winter walks. Plus, Africa Alive Zoo and SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth are a short drive away, or head to Norwich Cathedral to enjoy their Christmas concerts. 2. Haven Cala Gran, Blackpool

Haven Cala Gran is a popular Blackpool-based holiday park packed with family fun. It features an indoor swimming pool, with a slide, and soft play which will keep the kids busy in the warm. The kids can also enjoy the climbing wall, pedal go-karts, crazy golf, segways and more! (Though some activities may be seasonal.) The location is brilliant for days out – it’s just a short tram ride from Blackpool Tower which hosts a Christmas festival with FREE ice-skating (it doesn’t get more budget-friendly than that!) and market stalls. SEA LIFE Blackpool is nearby too and you can catch the Blackpool Illuminations in the evenings. 3. Haven Seton Sands, Scotland

Seton Sands in Scotland is one of the best Haven holiday parks for a Christmas break – it’s in a fantastic location for a scenic getaway with the kids (you might even get some snow!) and it’s well located for Christmas magic. Just a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh, the site features an indoor pool, a 9-hole golf course and activities like archery, karting and junior segways. For festive days out, Edinburgh has a one of the best family-friendly Christmas markets in the UK, as well as ice-skating and fairground rides, plus you can enjoy Hogmanay celebrations over the New Year! 4. Haven Hafan y Môr, North Wales

Hafan y Môr in North Wales is one of the best Haven parks for a family holiday – we had such a good time – check out my Hafan y Môr Review. Nestled near Snowdonia National Park, this resort offers an impressive range of facilities and you might even get some snow! The perfect indoor entertainment, it has a fantastic pool complex with waterslides and a wave pool (my kids loved it!). There’s also a high ropes course, segways, bungee trampolines and of course the Christmas activities. 5. Haven Rockley Park, Dorset

Located on the edge of Poole Harbour in Dorset, Rockley Park Haven offers its own private beach – so you can wrap up warm and enjoy wintery walks along the coast. As well as the festive activities, there’s an indoor swimming pool with a waterslide, crazy golf, climbing, craft activities and junior segways. (Though do check what’s available over the winter season.) 6. Haven Devon Cliffs, Devon

Haven Devon Cliffs, perched on the cliffs in South Devon, is in one of best spots for wintery walks along the coast. It has direct beach access and a fabulous indoor pool complex, complete with water slides, to keep the kids busy in the warm. As well as the festive activities, the site boasts tube slides, high ropes, a NERF training camp, crazy golf and more – but check which kids’ facilities are weather dependent. When it comes to days out, Paignton Zoo is an hour away, Crealy Theme Park is a 30 minute drive, and a bit further away you’ll find the popular Woodlands Family Theme Park – all three offer festive Christmas events and Santa visits. 7. Haven Primrose Valley, Yorkshire

If you’re looking for a winter getaway in Yorkshire, Haven Primrose Valley is a brilliant spot for festive breaks – you might even get some snow for Christmas! The park has a fantastic indoor adventure pool with play equipment to keep the kids busy whatever the weather, as well as activities like arcades, an aerial adventure, crafts and foot golf. For fun festive days out, pop to the historic town of Scarborough to meet Santa, or head a little further afield to York which hosts one of the best Christmas markets in the UK. Craig Tara Holiday Park in Scotland is well set up for all-weather fun with a great indoor waterpark and a sports hall. There are plenty of activities including crazy pool, crazy golf, inflatables, a mini aerial adventure, soft play, crafts and a climbing wall – lots of the amenities are indoors! Festive days out don’t get much closer as, just a minute’s drive away, you’ll find the Heads of Ayr Farm Park which hosts a Santa Experience featuring things like a North Pole Train Ride, animals visits, Santa’s Grotto and activities with Mrs Claus. 9. Haven Kent Coast, Rochester

If you fancy a UK Christmas getaway in the South East – Haven Kent Coast in Rochester is one of their most recently refurbished holiday parks. The site boasts an indoor swimming pool and the new adventure village has activities like a climbing wall, aerial adventure, crazy golf and junior segways – though check which are activities are seasonal. For fun indoors, the creative craft studio should keep the kids busy too.
