I’ve been hunting for the best Eurocamp resorts in Spain for families – so if you’re looking for swimming pools, sunshine, beaches, theme parks or waterparks, and perhaps even a city day out in Barcelona then keep reading. Spain is one of the best destinations for a family summer getaway so, in no particular order, here are 15 Eurocamp resorts that offer loads of fun for the kids. The airport transfer times for these sites are as little as 15 minutes – perfect for a stress-free journey to the campsite if you’re flying. 1. Eurocamp: Sanguli, Costa Dorada

5 star Sanguli is one of the most popular resorts in Spain and it’s just a 15 minute taxi ride from PortAventura and Caribe Aquatic Park. It offers a stunning pool complex with waterslides, a jungle-themed children’s pool, a mini-club, playgrounds, mini golf, entertainment and sports facilities. The resort is located by the bustling town of Salou with beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants and shops – wander along on foot or hop on the bus. You can also take a day trip to Barcelona (90 minute train ride from Salou) so it’s perfect for fuss-free Eurocamp holidays without a car. The closest airport is Reus, just 15 minutes away. 2. Eurocamp: Bella Terra, Costa Brava

Camping Bella Terra, on the Costa Brava, is a top pick for a family-friendly beach holiday in Spain. A medium-sized campsite, it has two swimming pools (including a kids’ pool), tennis courts and mini-golf. It’s perfect for Eurocamp holidays without a car as it’s located near the town of Blanes – you can wander along the seafront to shops and restaurants. With forests, sandy beaches and rocky coves on your doorstep, it’s an excellent choice for a scenic family break. Plus, Water World aqua park is just 20 minutes away! 3. Eurocamp: Alannia Guardamar, Costa Blanca

5 star resort, Alannia Guardamar has a beautiful pool complex with waterslides and a play pool. It’s a fabulous option for family holidays in Spain with kids’ clubs, sports, soft play, inflatables, a brilliant playground, mini golf and entertainment. All stays include bedding and towels, and you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes. The coastal town of Santa Pola with its castle and aquarium is just a 20 minute drive from the resort – from there you can hop on a boat to Tabarca Island. 4. Eurocamp: Cambrils Park, Costa Dorada

One of the best known Eurocamp resorts for holidays in Spain, and just a 10 minute walk from the beach, Cambrils Park Village is popular for its stunning tropical swimming pools and excellent facilities. The kids will love the splash zone, waterslides, mini golf and sports activities. It’s within walking distance of Salou and Cambrils – a charming seaside town with great beaches and a harbour. Plus you can catch the train to Barcelona in 90 minutes, and it’s just 15 minutes from PortAventura and Caribe Aquatic Park! The nearest airport to Cambrils Park Village is Reus Airport – you can start your holiday after just a 15 minute transfer. 5. Eurocamp: Vilanova Park, Barcelona

Vilanova Park is one of the most popular resorts for Eurocamp holidays in Spain – we had the best time – check out my Vilanova Park Review for more info. It boasts several large swimming pools, waterslides, a toddler play pool, entertainment, kids’ club activities and sports. It’s an ideal base for exploring Barcelona – take a 40 minute train ride from Vilanova i La Geltrú Station or catch a bus directly from the park. The nearby town and beach are just a short bus ride away too – perfect for exploring without a car. Further afield, you’ll find PortAventura and Caribe Aquatic Park! 6. Eurocamp: Park Playa Barà, Costa Dorada

With direct beach access, Camping Park Playa Barà is one of the best Eurocamp resorts for family fun in Spain. The park is just half an hour from PortAventura World and Caribe Aquatic Park, and it’s well known for its excellent evening entertainment. The resort boasts a stunning pool complex with waterslides and a splash pool, tennis courts, mini-golf and kids’ clubs – plus there’s even an underground disco! It’s just a 20 minute drive from Tarragona and you can hop on a train at Coma Rug Train Station to reach Barcelona in an hour. The closest airport is Reus Airport, just 25 minutes away. 7. Eurocamp: Alannia Costa Blanca, Costa Blanca

Alannia Costa Blanca has a fabulous pool complex with waterslides and play zones for the kids, as well as a lovely indoor heated pool with spa facilities. The resort offers kids’ clubs, sports, mini golf, inflatables, soft play and entertainment. Plus, all stays include bedding and towels, and the beach is a 20 minute drive away. It’s 30 minutes from Alicante, or visit the coastal town of Santa Pola with its castle and aquarium – from there you can hop on a boat to Tabarca Island. 8. Eurocamp: Camping Enmar, Costa Brava

If you’d prefer to visit a smaller site, Camping Enmar is one of the best Eurocamp resorts in Spain for families looking for a more relaxing getaway. Located in Pineda de Mar, you can enjoy the quieter side of the Costa Brava while still having easy access to the lively resorts nearby and Barcelona (50 minute drive or 1 hour train ride). The site boasts a swimming pool with a toddler splash pool and a couple of waterslides, a play area, sports and a kids’ club. 9. Eurocamp: Creixell Beach Resort, Costa Dorada

Creixell Beach Resort is one of the best waterpark resorts in Spain – this Eurocamp holiday looks fabulous for kids. The park features a brilliant waterpark with waterslides, splash play and several swimming pools. It’s also just a few minutes walk to the beach and the kids can enjoy sports, kids’ club activities, play areas and entertainment on-site. If you fancy some days out, you can reach Tarragona in just 20 minutes, and you’ll find PortAventura World and Caribe Aquatic Park a 25 minute drive away. 10. Eurocamp: Camping Orangeraie, Costa del Azahar

For families who prefer smaller resorts, Camping Orangeraie is a great option for a more peaceful Eurocamp holiday in Spain. The resort boasts several swimming pools (including a play pool and jacuzzis) a playground, kids’ clubs and sports activities. The are some gorgeous beaches around 10km away and it’s 30 minutes from Peñíscola where the castle and town were featured in Game of Thrones. Or, visit the Natural Park of Tinença de Benifassà for hiking, beautiful waterfalls and cave art. The nearest airport is Castellon de la Plana – 40 minutes away – though flights to Reus Airport are more widely available. One of the best resorts for beach holidays in Spain, Playa Montroig is a beautiful 5 star Eurocamp park on the Costa Dorada coastline. It’s ideal for active families with tennis courts, mini-golf, bike hire and a full entertainment program. 12. Eurocamp: Camping Village Tucan, Costa Brava

Camping Village Tucan is in a great location for days out and beach visits on the Costa Brava coastline – it’s just 1km from Lloret de Mar with golden sandy beaches, shops and restaurants. The bus stop by the park will take you to Barcelona, or head to Water World or hop on a glass bottom boat trip along the coast. The resort boasts a swimming pool with waterslides and a toddler splash pool, a kids’ club, trampolines, a playground, mini-golf and sports. It’s a good option for a car-free holiday due to it’s transport links and proximity to the nearby town. The nearest airport is Girona Airport – around 40 minutes away. 13. Eurocamp: Alannia Els Prats, Costa Dorada

Alannia Els Prats is a brilliant beachfront Eurocamp resort on Spain’s Costa Dorada coastline. It boasts direct beach access and a fun pool complex with splash zones and slides. The kids can enjoy sports, kids’ club activities and the playground – whilst adults will love the wellness area with jacuzzis and hydrotherapy jets. For days out, the park is just 15 minutes from PortAventura World and Caribe Aquatic Park, plus the city of Tarragona is only 20 minutes away. It’s another fantastic option for a pool, beach and theme park holiday, and towels and bed linen are included. The nearest airport is Reus – just 20 minutes away. 14. Eurocamp: Camping Playa Joyel, Costa Verde

Camping Playa Joyel is set within the Noja Nature Reserve with direct access to a golden sandy beach and gorgeous views over the coast and mountains. As well as a couple of swimming pools (including one for toddlers), the campsite boasts a kids’ club, sports, an animal park, play areas and an underground disco (July and August). It’s a short walk from the town of Noja which also has a train station for adventures further afield. NojActiva, located just down the road, offers activities like kayaking, or head to Parque de Cabârceno Zoo around a 40 minute drive away. The nearest airport is Santander – 35 minutes away. 15. Eurocamp: Castell Montgri Village, Costa Brava

Located in the lively town of L’Estartit, Castell Montgri Village Eurocamp is considered to be one of best campsites in Spain for family holidays with older teenagers. It has two swimming pools open until 10pm in high season and a soundproofed underground disco (for over 16s). As well as this, there are sports courts, mini golf and it’s not far from the beach for water sports. For the younger visitors, there are some waterslides, a playground and a toddler pool. Not far off the coast you’ll find the Medes Islands and Aquadiver Water Park is 40 minutes away. The nearest airport is Girona – 50 minutes away. How do I travel from the UK to my Eurocamp holiday in Spain?

For ferry and channel crossings to/from Calais: Eurocamp have access to discounted slots which are usually significantly cheaper than booking directly. The prices fluctuate slightly but a return on the ferry from Dover to Calais is typically around £100 and the ‘Le Shuttle’ Channel Crossing was around £250 the last time we used it. From Calais to Spain, you’ll be looking at a drive time of 12 hours or more depending on where you stay.

Other ferry routes: If you’re looking for affordable ferry options to/from a different location then the Direct Ferries website is the best place to look. It’s a comparison website so you can easily compare prices and providers, see which route options are available and view any current deals. You can catch a ferry directly to Spain (to Santander or Bilbao) from Plymouth or Portsmouth.

For Eurocamp holidays with flights: Eurocamp offer some package holiday deals through Jet2holidays which include flights and car hire (click to check out). Not all resorts and destinations are available so many families book flights separately – use the Skyscanner website to hunt out the cheapest flights. You can sort car hire easily on websites like Expedia, or book your transfers to and from the airport through Suntransfers.
