Who are Away Resorts?
Away Resorts are a UK-based holiday park company offering breaks across some beautiful, family-friendly locations. They’re all about giving guests a relaxed and modern holiday experience – think colourful lodges, quirky glamping and dog-friendly options. They have 25 locations across the UK and 19 of them have lodges with hot tubs – yay! (Click here to find out more about them if you’d like to check out the extra options not mentioned in this article.) Away Resorts have a really good reputation too – lots of their resorts score at least 4/5 on TripAdvisor which is reassuring. And, they offer lots of different accommodation options so you can find something that suits both your budget and your family.
Where are the Away Resorts holiday parks located?
Away Resorts have loads of sites – offering a wide range of countryside retreats, locations near the beach and, for some, even a bit of both! Here’s a full list of their current locations as well as which Away Resorts holiday parks are located in each place:

Away Resorts or Haven?
So, which is better – Away Resorts or Haven? Honestly, it depends on what kind of holiday you’re after. While they each offer great family getaways, they have very different vibes. Away Resorts tends to feel a bit more relaxed and modern. The accommodation is often more varied – you’ll find everything from colourful caravans and luxury lodges to quirky glamping pods and hot tub lodges. Many of their parks have a boutique (slightly more grown-up) feel but they still offer plenty for families with things like kids’ activities, play areas and swimming pools.
One of the main perks of Away Resorts holidays is their date flexibility because, unlike most other UK holiday parks, there are no set arrival days and you can choose how many days you’d like to stay for. You don’t have to arrive on a Friday or a Monday, and you can book your preferred amount of nights. For our recent Away Resorts trip we stayed from Monday – Wednesday for less than £60 per night – we only needed 2 nights of accommodation so they offered the best flexibility and price options.

Haven, on the other hand, is much more traditional. Their parks are often larger, more focused on younger families and come with a full-on entertainment schedule – think mascots, stage shows, soft play and packed activity timetables. If your kids love non-stop action and character meet-and-greets, they’ll probably love Haven. You’ll mostly find standard caravans for accommodation (though some parks have upgraded lodges now too) and the facilities tend to be consistent across locations with extras like waterslides and activities like high-rope courses or inflatables. In terms of price both offer budget-friendly options as well as more premium choices, but Haven don’t have many hot tub holiday options – so Away Resorts is definitely your best bet if that’s what you’d prefer.
How can I save money on my Away Resorts holiday?
Luckily, there are loads of ways to save money on your Away Resorts holiday, making it a great choice for budget-conscious families – here are a few ways to cut costs:
- Promo Codes & Offers: Check Away Resorts own website for discount codes – they’ll often advertise their promo codes directly on there.
- Book Off-Peak: If you’re able to, book outside of school holidays for cheaper prices and quieter parks.
- Book Last Minute: Check the last minute section on the Away Resorts website as they often have super cheap deals featured on there.
- Split the Cost: Many parks offer lodges and caravans that sleep larger groups so consider sharing with family or friends to split the price – particularly if you’re visiting at peak times or looking for a pricier accommodation type like a hot tub holiday lodge.
