If you fancy an adventure with the kids on the Isle of Wight, here my top 6 picks for the best holiday parks for families – and your UK staycation just got even better as they’ve all got hot tub options! The Isle of Wight is one of my favourite UK holiday destinations – there are loads of family-friendly days out without too much driving and it’s such a gorgeous place that on a sunny day you’ll feel like you’re abroad! The ferry across to the Isle of Wight just adds to the fun too – so here are my top picks for the best holiday parks for families (with loads on offer for the kids) for your island adventure.

 

1. Parkdean Resorts: Lower Hyde Holiday Park

Located on the outskirts of Shanklin, Lower Hyde is one of the most family-friendly holiday parks on the Isle of Wight – offering a range of budget-friendly accommodation options and hot tub lodges for those after a little bit of luxury. If you’re looking for holiday parks with direct beach access, Whitecliff Bay is nestled on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight and the views are stunning! How do I get to the Isle of Wight?

Getting to these fabulous Isle of Wight holiday parks is super easy, with regular ferries running from various locations on the south coast. The main ferry operators, Wightlink and Red Funnel, offer services from Portsmouth, Lymington and Southampton. If you’re travelling by car, you can take a vehicle ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, Lymington to Yarmouth, or Southampton to East Cowes. If you’re on foot, there are high-speed passenger ferries, such as the Wightlink FastCat from Portsmouth to Ryde or the Red Jet from Southampton to West Cowes, which take just 20-30 minutes.
