If you’re looking for some theme park fun in the Netherlands, you’ll find Landal Kaatsheuvel less than a ten minute drive from Efteling theme park – or hire some bikes and you could cycle with the kids. Nestled on the edge of a National Park, this resort gives you the best of both worlds – easy access to Efteling’s magic, plus beautiful nature trails for walking and cycling and an indoor swimming pool too. There’s less on offer than some of the more lively sites but if you prefer somewhere quiet it’s a good option. It’s well located for days out as it’s also just a 30 minute drive from Beekse Bergen Safari Park (the best zoo ever!) and Speelland Attraction Park. Landal Kaatsheuvel is around a 3.5 hour drive from Calais or, if you’d prefer to fly, the nearest airport is Eindhoven – a 40 minute transfer.
