The holiday parks near Paris offer some great options for families looking for a self-catering stay near Disneyland Paris – plus they typically have perks like swimming pools and playgrounds to make your trip with the kids even more fun. These types of resorts can often be more budget-friendly than the hotels nearby and they work well if you want a longer stay (perhaps a whole week away) with plenty to do alongside theme park fun. Some are well located for city adventures in Paris too and you’ve options from both Eurocamp and Center Parcs. Here are my top 5 holiday park picks near Disneyland Paris:

This resort offers the best of both worlds: it’s close enough to Disneyland Paris for daily visits, yet nestled in a peaceful village for some calm after a day of adventures. The campsite has a heated indoor / outdoor swimming pool, a children’s pool and a playground. Plus, the nearby train station makes it easy to reach both Disneyland and Paris city centre. Which Disneyland Paris hotels are best?
I’ve picked 5 Disneyland Paris hotels for families looking to stay as near to the action as possible – whilst staying on-site can be a pricier than the alternatives, if you want multiple park days or you’re visiting with little kids (who may need nap breaks) it can be a good option. Plus, hardcore Disneyland fans will adore the full themed experience and you’ll get early entry to the theme parks. There are various Disney hotels to suit a variety of budgets each offering a different experience – I’ve picked 4 of the more affordable options and then added a sprinkle of the premium hotels at the end – though they are rather pricey!
1. Disney Davy Crockett Ranch
- Best For: Year-round self-catering stays and larger families.
- Distance from Disney Davy Crockett Ranch to Disneyland Paris: A 10 minute drive or taxi (no shuttle bus).
The Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is perfect for families who want to stay in self-catering accommodation that’s close to Disneyland Paris – the peaceful forest setting, with wood themed cabins, offers a cosy base for stays all year round. Each cabin has its own kitchen, living area and plenty of space for larger families, and the site boasts a big indoor swimming pool too. With no shuttle bus, this one is best suited to families bringing their own car. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out the Davy Crockett Ranch on the Disneyland Paris website.
2. Disney Hotel Santa Fe
- Best For: A more budget-friendly Disneyland Paris hotel stay.
- Distance from Disney Hotel Santa Fe to Disneyland Paris: A 20 minute walk or a free 8 minute shuttle bus ride.
If you’re keen to stay in a themed Disney hotel, but don’t have the budget for some of the more premium options, Disney Hotel Santa Fe is a more affordable way to stay onsite. The child-friendly rooms have fun Cars themed décor and the hotel is close enough to walk to the parks (or you can hop on the free shuttle bus) – families love how easy it is to get around. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Hotel Santa Fe on the Disneyland Paris website.
3. Disney Hotel Cheyenne
- Best For: Year-round Disneyland Paris hotel stays with indoor and outdoor play areas.
- Distance from Disney Hotel Cheyenne to Disneyland Paris: A 20 minute walk or a free 8 minute shuttle bus ride.
Disney Hotel Cheyenne is made for families and has something to offer year-round stays with both indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids. The Wild West theming is good fun and the bedrooms have stylish Toy Story touches that the kids will love. It’s slightly closer to the parks than Santa Fe and the shuttle runs regularly. It gives you that on-site convenience without the premium price of some of the more expensive Disney hotels. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Hotel Cheyenne on the Disneyland Paris website.
4. Disney Sequoia Lodge
- Best For: Bigger budgets and winter Disneyland Paris hotel stays with extra facilities.
- Distance from Disney Sequoia Lodge to Disneyland Paris: A 15 minute walk or a free 8 minute shuttle bus ride.
Disney Sequoia Lodge has a warm and cosy lodge feel that makes it perfect for year-round getaways. The main building has a big fireplace and rustic décor so this could be a good option for a winter getaway – it’s one of the most festive feeling Disneyland Paris hotels. The woodland theming fits the Christmas season beautifully and the hotel is only a short walk, or a quick shuttle ride, from the parks. Plus, the indoor swimming pool offers the perfect indoor entertainment. For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out Sequoia Lodge on the Disneyland Paris website.
5. Disneyland Hotel
- Best For: The ultimate big budget stay directly next to the theme parks.
- Distance from Disneyland Hotel to Disneyland Paris: This one is at the entrance to Disneyland Park.
If you’re looking for the ultimate Disney experience, and you want to stay as near as possible to Disneyland Paris with the kids, you’ll find the Disneyland Hotel directly next to the park entrance. This option is for families looking for a premium experience, as close as it gets, but it comes with a big price tag so it’s certainly not for budget-friendly stays. The 5 star hotel boasts a pool and health resort, fine dining, immersive experiences and it’s own entrance to the theme park. Alternatively, for some 4 star premium options with a slightly lesser price tag, you might want to take a look at the Disney New York Marvel Hotel or the Disney Newport Bay Club. Both look fantastic for the kids and they’re not quite so pricey! For more information, and prices for your dates, click here to check out the Disneyland Hotel on the Disneyland Paris website.
Should you stay on-site or nearby?
This is where it really comes down to your priorities. Staying in a Disney hotel is all about convenience and experience, while staying nearby is usually about saving money and having more flexibility. If you stay on-site at Disneyland Paris everything is easy – you can walk (or take a quick shuttle) to the parks, pop back to your room in the afternoon and you’ll get Extra Magic Time, which lets you enter the parks before everyone else (typically around an hour). That early access can make a big difference with kids, as you can get a couple of popular rides done before the queues build. The downside is the cost, Disney hotels are significantly more expensive – you’re paying for that ease and the “Disney bubble”.
Staying nearby – whether that’s at a partner hotel, a budget hotel or a holiday park (like Eurocamp or Center Parcs) – is usually much better value for money. You’ll often get more space, (which is a big win with kids), self-catering facilities and other amenities like kids’ clubs, play spaces and swimming pools. Transport is still pretty straightforward, as lots of the nearby hotels run free shuttle buses that take around 10 to 15 minutes, but it does add a bit of planning, especially at the end of the day when buses can be busy. You also won’t get Extra Magic Time, so you’ll be entering the parks with the main crowds.

If I’m being honest, what I’d do depends on the trip. For a short, once-in-a-lifetime visit with younger kids, it might be worth staying on-site one or two nights just for the ease and those early park hours to make the whole experience feel smoother. But if you’re trying to keep costs down, then picking a nearby hotel for a short stay will definitely save you money and they’re usually not much further away. For longer stays of 3 days or more I don’t think you can beat a holiday park – you’ll get more for your money and resorts like Eurocamp La Croix du Vieux Pont and Center Parcs ‘Villages Nature Paris’ offer loads of things for the kids to do. The holiday parks work really well if you want just a day or two at the theme parks followed by a well-rounded family getaway and relaxation at the resorts.
Alternatively, you could split your stay – which is what we did on our visit to Disneyland Paris. We stayed at a nearby hotel for 2 nights (Novotel Marne La Vallée Collégien) and then enjoyed a Eurocamp holiday afterwards. A Disneyland Paris trip will never be cheap and cheerful but there are lots of ways to make your stay with the kids as budget-friendly as possible and you’ve got plenty of great accommodation options nearby.
The best options by family type:
If you’re not sure which option to go for, this is the easiest way to decide based on the kind of trip you’re planning for your Disneyland Paris adventure:
- If you’re on a budget, I’d look at Eurocamp or one of the cheaper nearby hotels. You’ll get far more space for your money (which really helps with kids) and, if you’re happy to trade a bit of convenience to save money, this is where you’ll keep costs down the most.
- For a short trip, especially if you’re just doing 1–2 park days, a nearby or partner hotel works really well. You’re close enough that transport is easy, but you’re not paying Disney hotel prices for a room you’ll barely be in.

- If this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris that’s when I’d consider a Disney hotel. The ease, the theming and the Extra Magic Time can make the whole experience feel that bit more special, especially with younger kids. (This is particularly true over the Christmas period!)
- For a longer holiday, this is where places like Center Parcs or Eurocamp really come into their own. You can mix park days with more relaxed days, and it feels much more like a proper holiday rather than a full-on theme park trip. This works especially well if you’re driving.
- If you’re also visiting Paris then picking a holiday park is likely your best option – all 5 in this article are well positioned for a combined trip to both Disneyland Paris and central Paris for sightseeing. Some offer better transport links and a shorter commute than others – Paris-Est offers the best location but it is a more basic holiday park.

It’s also worth thinking about the time of year. Eurocamp holidays are brilliant in the summer when you can actually make the most of the outdoor space, pools and park facilities. But in winter, you’ll need to pick a hotel or somewhere like Center Parcs where the weather isn’t going to impact your stay. You’ll also find that the on-site hotels offer that extra bit of magic over the festive season.
