If you’re hunting for Haven holiday parks that’ll impress the older ones, then look no further as I’ve found 10 of the best sites for teenagers. My top picks have great facilities for teens including things like: surfing, waterslides, high ropes, segways, kayaking, inflatable arenas, archery, ‘the jump’ and all sorts. There are some fantastic teen-friendly days out nearby too and, for trips over the summer months, I’ve thrown in some beachside locations and outdoor pools – perfect! So, if you’re searching for the best family UK getaway with teenagers, here are 10 fabulous Haven holiday parks that might just fit the bill.

 

1. Haven Primrose Valley, Yorkshire

One of the most popular Haven parks, Primrose Valley is a brilliant base for a family holiday in Yorkshire with teenagers. The site offers direct beach access and an indoor adventure pool with play equipment so you can keep busy whatever the weather! There are loads of activities for kids of all ages but the older ones will enjoy the inflatable arena, ‘the jump’, pedalos, kayaking on the lake, arcades, the aerial adventure and foot golf. If you fancy doing some exploring, there are some great days out nearby too – Alpamare Waterpark (with loads of big waterslides!) is a 30 minute drive away, and the North Bay Railway and Scarborough SEA LIFE Aquarium are closeby too. 2. Haven Devon Cliffs, Devon

It’s also another Haven park with direct beach access – you can walk along the sand to the nearby town if you fancy exploring. On site, older children and teenagers can enjoy the double story aerial adventure course, crazy golf, ‘the jump’, fishing, a climbing wall and pedal karts. There are some fantastic days out nearby – Cleethorpes Boating Lake is just a few minutes from the park, Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary is around 45 minutes away and Skegness is an hour’s drive. It boasts indoor and outdoor pools, as well as activities like kayaking, pedalos and paddle-boarding that the whole family can enjoy! On top of that, the lakeside park offers crazy golf, an aerial adventure, bike hire, NERF camp, sports, pedal-karts and archery. Not far from Lake Windermere, this Haven park is a fantastic option for a nature-based retreat. There are some fabulous days out nearby as well – you’ll find attractions like Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre, Windermere Lake Cruises and Zip World Windermere all around a 40 minute drive away. Hafan y Môr in Pwllheli, North Wales, is without a doubt one of the best Haven parks for a family holiday – we had such a good time – check out my Hafan y Mor Review. Nestled near Snowdonia National Park, this resort offers an impressive range of facilities and activities to cater to kids of all ages. It has a fantastic indoor pool complex (with waterslides and a wave pool – my kids loved it!), a high ropes course, segways, bungee trampolines, a NERF training camp, an inflatable arena, batfast and a boating lake with pedalos. There are some brilliant teen-friendly days out nearby too – this park is the perfect base for climbing Mount Snowdon (it’s so worth the climb!), you can ride the Welsh Heritage Railway and Zip World Penrhyn Quarry is around a 50 minute drive away. Combe Haven Holiday Park, in Sussex, has a lovely outdoor pool (with a space bowl flume that older kids will absolutely love!) and an indoor swimming pool. The park also boasts an indoor games and sports area for all-weather fun, and plenty to keep older kids and teenagers entertained including: bungee trampolines, archery, foot golf, a climbing wall, segways and a NERF training camp. The location is perfect for family-friendly days out with teens too. Hastings Pier and open air cinema, Eastbourne Pier and The Battle of Hastings site (try to catch a reenactment day!) are all just a short drive away.
