Why is easyJet so cheap?
So, how are easyJet holidays able to keep costs so low? Much like their flights, their holiday packages are based on a low-cost model. They bundle together their own flights with a range of hotel options in popular budget-friendly destinations, offering you the convenience of a package while still keeping things affordable. Because you’re booking your flight and hotel together, you often get a better deal than if you were to arrange it all separately. Plus, they run sales regularly (more on that in a sec) so, if you’re flexible with your dates, you can bag an absolute bargain.
When does the easyJet holidays sale end?
Speaking of sales, easyJet holidays loves a seasonal deal. They typically hold sales around the New Year, in spring (March/April time), June and again in early autumn. It’s worth signing up for email alerts to be the first to know, or checking their site regularly if you’ve got a destination in mind. But, you can always check out their ‘last minute holidays‘ section if you’re happy to book closer to your travel time for year-round discounts.
Where do easyJet holidays fly to?
easyJet have 80 destinations available for package holidays (mainly across Europe and North Africa) making them a fantastic option whether you’re planning a beach break, a cultural city escape or a family holiday in the sun. Think sunny Spain, with favourites like Alicante and Malaga, or further afield to the Canary Islands which can be great from some out-of-season sunshine. Or, check out their city breaks to spots like Venice and Amsterdam. They even have routes to places like Morocco, giving you loads of variety when choosing where to go next.
Do easyJet holidays include luggage?
If you’re booking just flights then no they don’t typically include luggage with easyJet. All passengers can bring a small cabin bag that fits under the seat in front, but anything more (like a larger cabin bag or checked suitcase) needs to be added for a fee. This is where it’s worth planning ahead, as booking bags online in advance is usually cheaper than doing it at the airport. However, for package holidays with easyJet luggage and transfers are typically included – in fact all of the deals I’ve found above include your accommodation, flights, transfers and luggage! So, booking a package holiday through easyJet can be a great way to save on hassle and costs – as you’ll get a 23kg luggage allowance per person which is great for families as it’s so hard to pack lightly isn’t it when you have kids!
easyJet holidays vs Jet2holidays
If you’re comparing easyJet holidays with Jet2holidays, both are solid options for budget-conscious travellers looking for a good package holiday deal. Both include checked luggage, transfers, flights and accommodation as a bundle – with ‘kids go free’ offers available too – so it really just comes down to what you’re after. In this instance, I’ve focussed on easyJet holidays because I wanted to include some May half-term holiday deals and, out of the two, easyJet had cheaper options available. It really comes down to destination preferences, your hotel choice and your budget but they’re both great options – with easyJet winning on price this time! And, whoever you book your getaway with, I hope you have a fabulous holiday! For more May half-term bargains check out this article too:
