Toddler’s Cove is great place to take the little ones if you’re looking for a free day out. Not far from Canterbury’s city centre, a short walk along the beautiful river takes you back towards the hustle and bustle of the shops.
On a warm summer’s day, you’ll find an affordable ice-cream truck on site too, as well as a catering van if you’re looking for an easy lunch. But, why not pack a picnic or bring your own snacks to make this a really good, inexpensive day out.
Top tip – parking prices in Canterbury can be horrendously costly but the car park next to Toddler’s Cove is much cheaper! If you’re headed into the city for some retail therapy, the affordable parking here could be really handy and may be worth the five-ten minute walk along the river; you’ll enjoy the scenery too!
