Social Distancing: Week 13

Social Distancing: Week 13

Dear Frugal Mums,

How are we in the middle of June already?! We are half way through the year and I feel as if we should still be back at Easter time! The weather has been great the last few days so we’ve been making the most of it. The kids have really enjoyed being able to play in their grandparent’s garden again too, and it has definitely eased the boredom.

It’s been a nice few days of BBQs, bikes and water fights, making the most of the sunshine and chilling outside. Other than that, and their learning, we haven’t really done much else. It’s been too nice to be indoors! It’s Father’s Day next weekend, so I’ve been thinking about what we can do to make it special; hopefully we can head somewhere scenic for a picnic if it’s dry. (It’s so hard to plan ahead in England isn’t it!!)

I had a laugh on Monday – Lola had been messing around on Zoom with her friends, so I ended up doing a work call with a bridge in the background and every so often my arms disappeared!! Technology certainly keeps things interesting!! 😂

I’m waiting on paint samples for the kitchen cupboards – and hoping I’ll have the motivation to actually get on and start it! I’ll let you know when I’ve mustered up the energy! I’m lacking in the enthusiasm department at the mo – I’ve watched 187 episodes of One Tree Hill in the last few weeks!! 187!! 😂

Enjoy the sunshine!

Nat x
