Diary of a Frugal Mum

RNLI lifeboat fundraiser, Dungeness

Sunday 4th August 2019

Dear Frugal Mums,

We’ve had a busy few days with family and friends, and today we went down to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station at Dungeness. They had an open day to raise funds with stalls, face-painting, games, food and a raffle. The children loved seeing the life boat pulled down the beach and launched into the water; it was really interesting to watch and a great atmosphere.

Afterwards, they found a giant puddle of water on the stoney beach, stripped off and splashed around with their cousins. They were absolutely soaked but had a really good time! Wherever there is water they will always end up in it! It was pretty cold too – brave little things! They love nothing better than to be with their two cousins, who they spend a lot of time with; it’s lovely to see them all playing together.

Dungeness is an interesting place to visit – so unique. For more information about Dungeness, and what is on offer there to keep the little ones busy year round, click here to view my post.

Hope you’re having a good summer, Nat x
