We recently made a ‘rainbow jar’ to fill with all of the things that we would like to do when lockdown is over.
Instead of saying no when the children ask to do something, I can say ‘Yes, let’s put it in the jar!’
We’ve turned a negative into a positive.
It’s given us lots of things to look forward to, as well as the chance to recognise the things that we miss the most.
Suddenly, the things that we’ve always taken for granted are the things we’ll now appreciate forever.
So, grab an old jar, cut some coloured paper and get started!
Whilst the world may seem strange and scary for our little ones right now, we have to remember that even rainy days have rainbows.
