Dear Frugal Mums,
We met our friends and their little one at Mote Park today, in Maidstone, and had a fab time. The play park has a range of equipment for little and older children, which was handy for us with a toddler and our two. They were all happy just letting off steam and running around. Behind the play park they have added an adventure area, which only opened a few months ago, so we decided to check it out.
The children (and Jay!) were very brave and tackled the sky trail. It’s really high up, so I am pleased he went up with them and not me! The kids had completed their reward towers so decided to use their pocket money to have a go. Finn was a bit apprehensive but quickly got into it and went straight for the top layer – we couldn’t believe it! Lola was really confident before they started, but was pretty frightened once they were up there. I could not believe her determination though, we were convinced she would decide not to carry on but she persevered and ended up really enjoying it.
There is also a climbing wall at the far end, Segway trail and mini golf underneath the trail. This was handy as, for £3, we could entertain our friend’s toddler who was obviously too little for the rest of it. The crazy golf isn’t anything special, but it’s certainly cheap and cheerful. We had a great day and it’s lovely to explore new parks. Click here to have a look at my post on Mote Park for more information.
Fingers crossed the weather allows for more outings this week!
