March 2023

Finn and Lola went to the inflatable session at Dover District Leisure Centre this weekend, and absolutely loved it! Here’s all the info you’ll need if you fancy taking your kiddies along…

Who is it suitable for?

The inflatable session is available for children age 5 and up – all children are given a life-jacket to wear making it absolutely fine for younger ones even if they aren’t yet confident swimmers.

When are the inflatable sessions?

These are the current days / times:

How much is it?

Sessions are £10pp – each session is an hour long, allowing for a 15 minute safety briefing and 45 minutes on the equipment. Advanced booking online is recommended – you can book through their website: Dover Leisure Centre.

What else do I need to know?

Children under 8 must be accompanied by someone age 16+ – only two children may be supervised by one adult.

Those over the age of 8 can use the equipment unattended, and there’s seating overlooking the pool so adults are able to watch from there.

What other facilities are there?

The leisure centre is also home to a Clip n Climb – priced at £8-£10 per session. And, there are other sports clubs and sporting facilities available for things like badminton.

There’s a cafe with free WIFI if your kiddies are older, and you’d like somewhere to wait while they participate in the activities at the centre, or for refreshments afterwards. As well as an onsite shop in case the kids forget their goggles!

Is it good value for money?

My two absolutely loved the inflatable session and are desperate to go again. It can be quite hard to find inexpensive entertainment to keep them busy over the winter months, so it’ll definitely be something we do again.

The lifeguards were all really friendly and helpful – and fun too, chucking buckets of water over the kids which they thought was hilarious!

The pool is also well kept and clean, and both kids commented that it was warmer than other pools we’ve been to which is always a win!
